At Chimene's Flames, every candle begins with a lifelong love of fragrance — and a refusal to settle for less.

Like many candle lovers, I found myself repeatedly disappointed. Beautiful jars, promising scents, and yet somehow they never quite delivered. So I decided to do something about it.

With no candle-making experience and nothing but curiosity and determination, I bought a beginner's kit and got to work. What followed was a journey of experimentation — plenty of fails, plenty of discoveries, and eventually, my very first product.

I began selling at the local markets on Tamborine Mountain, and something magical happened. Word spread. People started coming to the markets specifically for my candles. That kind of connection — between a handcrafted product and the people who love it — is something I'll never take for granted.

From there, I introduced a refill service that quickly became a community favourite. A simple basket at the front of my home became a little ritual for locals — drop off your jar, pick it up filled and fragrant, ready to burn again. It was humble, heartfelt, and exactly what Chimene's Flames is about.

When we relocated to Blackheath in the beautiful Blue Mountains of NSW, a new chapter began. After a year of crafting from home, I opened the doors to Chimene's Flames in the Blackheath village — and the response has been truly humbling.

Every candle I make is still crafted with the same care, curiosity, and passion that started it all. We hope you feel that in every burn.
